Please read these terms carefully before using our services

Last updated: 10 May 2026 — These terms apply to all services offered by OZ Appliance Repairs ABN 25 996 910 996, Melbourne.

Part 1 — OZ Appliance Care

Terms applying to OZ Appliance Care subscription plans

1. About OZ Appliance Care

OZ Appliance Care is a subscription service offered by OZ Appliance Repairs ABN 25 996 910 996. The subscription covers call-out fees for appliance repair visits at your registered address within our service area in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

By subscribing to OZ Appliance Care, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, do not proceed with the subscription.

2. Subscription Plans & Pricing

  • Single Appliance Care Plan — Annual: $320/year (or 2 x $175 instalments)
  • Laundry Care Package — Annual: $499/year (or 2 x $270 instalments)
  • Kitchen Care Package — Annual: $699/year (or 2 x $375 instalments)
  • Full Home Care Package — Annual: $999/year (or 2 x $550 instalments)

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST. Prices are subject to change at renewal with 30 days written notice.

3. What Is Included

  • Call-out fee waived for all covered appliance repair visits (normally $189 per visit)
  • Up to 3 repair visits per covered appliance per subscription year
  • Diagnosis and up to 30 minutes of labour per visit at no additional charge
  • Priority same-day booking for covered appliances
  • Service at your registered address only

Repair Visits Only — No General Servicing

OZ Appliance Care covers repair visits where a fault, malfunction, or defect is reported by you and confirmed by our technician. The subscription does not cover:

  • General servicing, maintenance, or routine inspection of working appliances;
  • "Health checks", performance testing, or preventative tune-ups on appliances that are operating normally;
  • Cleaning, descaling, filter replacement, or other routine upkeep tasks;
  • Visits requested out of curiosity or precaution where there is no actual fault.

⚠️ If our technician attends and finds the appliance is working as intended with no fault present, the visit does not count as a covered repair under your subscription. A standard call-out fee may apply at our discretion to cover travel and time.

What Is Not Included

  • Cost of replacement parts (charged at standard rates)
  • Labour beyond 30 minutes per visit (charged at $35 per additional 15 minutes)
  • Repairs at addresses other than your registered address
  • Appliances not covered under your selected plan
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, physical damage, pest infestation, or external causes
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect appliance function
  • Appliances that are beyond economical repair
  • More than 3 repair visits per appliance per subscription year

4. Coverage & Appliances

Single Appliance Care Plan

Covers one (1) appliance of your choice: washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, cooktop, or rangehood.

Laundry Care Package

Covers up to two (2) laundry appliances: washing machine and/or dryer.

Kitchen Care Package

Covers up to three (3) kitchen appliances: oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and/or rangehood.

Full Home Care Package

Covers up to five (5) household appliances across laundry and kitchen categories.

⚠️ The specific appliances covered must be confirmed at time of subscription or first booking. Coverage applies to appliances at your registered address only.

5. Service Area

OZ Appliance Care is available to residential customers in Melbourne's northern suburbs only. If you are unsure whether your suburb is covered, please contact us before subscribing.

Subscriptions are non-refundable if your address is found to be outside our service area after purchase. It is your responsibility to confirm your suburb is within our service area prior to subscribing.

6. Payment Terms

Annual Plans

Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment. Your subscription is active immediately upon successful payment and remains active for 12 months from the payment date.

Instalment Plans

6-month instalment plans are billed as two (2) equal payments. The first payment is due at time of subscription. The second payment is automatically charged 6 months after the first payment.

⚠️ Instalment plans require a minimum of two (2) payments. Cancellation is not available until both payments have been successfully collected. Attempting to cancel before the second payment is processed will result in a cancellation fee equal to the outstanding balance.

All payments are processed securely through Square. OZ Appliance Repairs does not store your card details.

7. Renewal & Cancellation

Automatic Renewal

Annual subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each 12-month period unless cancelled. You will be notified by email at least 14 days before your renewal date.

Cancellation Policy

  • Annual plans can be cancelled at any time before the next renewal date
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 7 days before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next year
  • If cancelled after the renewal charge has been processed, no refund will be issued for that period
  • Instalment plans cannot be cancelled until both payments have been collected
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current subscription period

How To Cancel

To cancel, email [email protected] with your name, membership code, and cancellation request. We will confirm within 2 business days.

8. Booking Under OZ Appliance Care

  • Quote your membership code when booking online or calling/SMS-ing our team
  • Confirm your registered address at time of booking
  • Confirm which covered appliance requires service

⚠️ Membership codes cannot be transferred to another person or address. The subscription is non-transferable.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

10. Changes to These Terms

OZ Appliance Repairs reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.

Part 2

Part 2 — Repair Services

Terms applying to all standard appliance repair bookings

R1. Call-Out Fee

A fixed call-out fee of $189 AUD applies to all standard repair bookings. This fee covers travel to your address, diagnosis, and up to 30 minutes of labour.

The call-out fee is payable regardless of whether a repair is completed. If the appliance is beyond economical repair, the call-out fee still applies.

Additional appliances at the same visit: $99 per additional appliance (includes diagnosis and up to 30 minutes labour).

R2. Parts & Additional Labour

Parts required for repairs are charged at cost plus a standard handling fee. You will be quoted before any parts are ordered or installed. Work will not proceed without your approval.

Labour beyond 30 minutes is charged at $35 per additional 15 minutes. Our technician will advise you before exceeding the included 30 minutes.

R3. Repair Warranty

  • Labour warranty: 90 days from the date of repair
  • Parts warranty: Manufacturer's warranty on the part supplied (minimum 90 days)

The warranty covers the specific fault repaired and is void if the appliance is tampered with or repaired by another party after our service.

⚠️ If the same fault recurs within the warranty period, we will return to assess and rectify at no call-out charge.

R4. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation

  • More than 2 hours notice — no charge
  • Less than 2 hours notice — $50 late cancellation fee may apply
  • No-shows (technician arrives, no one home) — full $189 call-out fee applies

Rescheduling

You may reschedule at any time before the technician departs for your address.

R5. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and clear access to the appliance
  • Be present (or have an authorised adult present) during the repair
  • Provide accurate information about the fault when booking
  • Inform our technician of any known hazards at the property
  • Ensure pets are secured away from the work area

If access cannot be gained or the appliance is not accessible, the full call-out fee still applies.

R6. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the repair visit. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EFTPOS, and Cash.

For OZ Appliance Care subscribers, the call-out fee is covered by your subscription — parts and additional labour are still payable on the day.

R7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OZ Appliance Repairs' liability for any claim is limited to the value of the repair fee paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages except where required by law.

R8. Australian Consumer Law

Our repair services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
